World Quest Respawn Timer: How to Optimize Your Time and Rewards

When players first enter a new area, and some time ago other players killed many mobs (e.g. to fulfill a quest), the new arrivals may easily be surprised by respawns. This effect is alleviated by the fact that right after a respawn, mobs stand still and do not attack for about 5 seconds. This gives players enough time to move out of the aggro radius, if they react quickly.

World Quest Respawn Timer

Most normal mobs usually are on a 5 minute respawn timer. This may be different depending on the area and mob types aswell the population of players within the area. Additionally, since Wrath of the Lich King, if an area is heavily farmed and the mobs are killed very quickly right after they spawn, the game may switch to a fast respawn mode for that area (which means that mobs and resource nodes return much more quickly, usually within one minute). Looting or not looting creatures and npcs does not matter, it all depends on the different spawn timers.

World quests can be referred to as end game quests. These include different activities that are both PVE, PVP, dungeons, and much more! Completing these world quests grants the player different rewards. However, to be able to enjoy such activities, the player must have reached the max level.

Different world quests will reset at different times. This is actually done deliberately. Due to the various world quests, there is plenty of variation in the reset time. This is also why many players get confused about when world quests reset.

As for the remaining world quests, they may vary. Longer duration quests also exist, which includes dungeons, or rare boss quests. These can last from 36 hours to 3 days. Then there are also world bosses that last up to a whole week.

The best thing to do here to use a 3rd party world quest addon. Apart from that, there is possibly no way of learning the world quests reset time, unless you want to go through each one of them and memorize them.

By using a world quest addon, you will be able to summarize most of the reset times in the form of a filterable list. These should show right next to your map. Another benefit of it would be that you will always be able to keep track of how much time you have left.

Chests do not respawn, and they do not 'spawn in' with AR/WL increase either. The illusion of that happening is usually created by certain chests being temporarily removed by various quests, one-time or repeatable ones; some chests have also been found to randomly not spawn on some days without any apparent reason, though possibly depending on the day of the week. That said, all chests exist in the game at the point of character creation.

Normal Bosses have a minimum reset time of 5 minutes, which starts counting down the moment the boss's arena is loaded in. This timer will not be revealed in the Adventurer Handbook until the boss has been slain and only if the 5 minutes have not passed. Once the 5 minutes have passed and the boss has been slain, the player must reload the boss' arena for it to respawn. The simplest way is to enter an Event Character Test Run and leave it (which doesn't change your original location), or teleport to the nearest Waypoint or Statue of The Seven and walk back to the boss's location. Logging out of the game also works.

The Forgotten Proto-Vault treasure is only available when the world quest Frog'it is active. Additionally, there is a respawn timer after someone else has claimed the treasure, so you may need to wait several minutes or check back later, even if the world quest is active when you are looking.

Most normal mobs usually are on a 15 minute respawn timer. This may be different depending on the area and mob types aswell the population of players within the area. Additionally, if an area is heavily farmed, and the mobs are killed very quickly right after they spawn, the game may switch to a fast respawn mode for that area, which means that mobs and resource nodes return much more quickly, usually within one minute. Looting or not looting creatures and npcs does not matter, it all depends on the different spawn timers.

I've encountered some problems when a player completes a quest that is not resetting, thereby preventing other players from doing the quest. One such quest is Torek's Assault in Ashenvale. After quest completion, the quest NPCs do not respawn at their starting positions to enable other players to perform the same quest.

Huge news! WOW rare elite, Kosumoth the Hungering, appears in Legion and rewards a new water mount, Fathom Dweller. Here is a guide on how to obtain the world quest and get the reward in wow legion. Besides, cheapest wow gold is in stock to you in case on Safewow.

Dungeons will remain in their current state until you complete or fail the respective Contract. After completing/failing a Contract, the associated Dungeon will close down, and any loot or enemies left inside will be lost forever. You can safely deposit any loot right outside the dungeon. Distant dungeons will remain open until you open the chest in the boss room. Opening the boss room chest will trigger their closure and respawn timer.

If you didn't accept a Contract, cleared its associated dungeon, then sold (or otherwise disposed of) the quest item, the dungeon will currently NOT respawn. You will have to accept the Contract, wait until the timer runs out, and incur the reputation loss for failing a Contract (despite knowing the quest item is no longer available) in order to have the dungeon respawn.

The Secret Base Guard that drops the Eye Sensor has a 5 minute respawn timer and spawns on three different locations on Facility X-301. We have marked all of them in the image below. After that, keep reading to see how we tackled this quest and completed it much faster than others. 2ff7e9595c
